Practice simply means repetition.

To make progress, pupils have to repeat correctly what was taught in the lesson and that has to be done at least 5 days a week. That's the bad news - the good news is that good, effective practice doesn't take long (10 mins per day for a beginner for example). I write in the pupils' notebook what to practise and how often it's to be done each day.

A word of warning - muscles learn what they repeat whether it's correct or not, so practise carefully!
