I started my career as a class music teacher, working in Secondary Schools. However, I soon realised I really wanted to teach privately as this would give me the scope to treat pupils as individuals and also to be more creative with my lesson content. To that end, I then obtained Trinity College Diplomas in Singing and Piano Teaching and I have been running my private practice in Lochwinnoch since 1995.  I love music and I love teaching so I have a great job!

A teacher should never stop learning - I love "feeding my teaching" by attending Conferences and Training Courses and reading etc. The first two of these can be expensive but I consider it to be money well spent! I belong to two professional organisations - AOTOS for my singing teaching and EPTA for my piano teaching. Through these, I meet and learn from many people with extensive knowledge and experience who are as dedicated as I am.
